We awake to a new day

As we try to accept God’s way

We don’t know what we’ll find

We just pray for peace of mind

We set out on a journey

Meant for us only

Every step we take

Is a memory we’ll make

We feel unsure

But we see something pure

We simply keep going

While knowing

God will make us see

What’s meant to be

We look at what we learn

Several stripes we earn

We move with care

Yet God is there

We look for things

And the joy life brings

We forget about time

As we remember our prime

Suddenly everything makes sense

We talk without pretense

Our journey was a must

In God we trust

He is our guide

Our gratitude we can’t hide

We looked at our hearts

Saw where love starts

We had a purpose to fulfill

It was God’s will

It took us far

As we reached for a star

And we shared the news
