I wake up in the morning

Sun shining bright

I see my guiding light

Peace of mind

Is all I can find

I prepare for a journey

Planned by God only

I know it’s real

It’s difficult to conceal

Everything I see

Is meant just for me

It doesn’t take long

To see where I belong

God’s tender loving care

Is something I share

He sends me on my way

And I can see it’s going to be

A lovely day

I learn while on the go

I share what I know

I smell beautiful flowers

For what seems like hours

I see my purpose

Rise to the surface

I give as good as I get

With very little to regret

I get a chance

To do a victory dance

Every step I take

Is a memory I’ll make

I begin to smile

The smile last a while

It’s God’s hand

Touching me where I stand

I create another chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

And all I can say

Is it’s going to be a lovely day
