We see the rising sun

It represents a new day

As we accept God’s way

The sun’s rays are true

They show how we made it through

They offer a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We lift every voice

As we begin to rejoice

We have a second chance

So we do a victory dance

We’ll embark on another journey

Ordained by God only

We’ll learn life lessons

That will become confessions

Everyone can see

This moment is meant to be

We listen to God’s word

It’s the best we’ve heard

It’s a beautiful sight

It’s like a guiding light

Our naysayers we ignore

As God fills us to the core

We learn to reveal

Give Him a wink and nod

God loves us unconditionally

He works consistently

Solid ground we find

It offers peace of mind
