I’m sitting still

As I accept God’s will

I hear His voice in the distance

I offer no resistance

I think of blessings granted

I think of seeds I’ve planted

I think of better days

How I changed my ways

A love so true

What God brought me through

How I fall and rise again

How God teaches me to win

All the love I know

Ways I’ve learned to grow

I’m sitting still

As I accept God’s will

It takes me to a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Fear begins to fade

I see the progress I’ve made

I embark on a new journey

Meant for me only

I stay fully aware

Of God’s tender loving care

I learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

I see the steps I take

I see the memories I make

My voice I raise

In a song of praise

I hold God’s hand

Right where I stand

I hear my mouth reveal

What my heart can’t conceal

I get filled to the core

As God offers me more
