Sitting perfectly still

As we accept God’s will

Trying to find a way

To get through every day

Wondering where to start

As we look at the heart

Continuing a journey

Meant for us only

As we wonder what we’ll find

We search for peace of mind

We face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We search for a guiding light

Both day and night

We try to remove our fear

Not knowing who’s sitting near

As strange as it seems

Wondering how far to go

We share what we know

We learn to give as good as we get

With very little regret

We travel far

As we heal every scar

We drop to our knees

As we wonder who to please

We learn life lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

We search for solid ground

Something to turn our lives around

We learn faith is the key

To what’s truly meant to be

We turn every stone

For something to call our own

We finally find God

We give Him a wink and nod

And we learn what makes life whole
