Just sitting still

Trying to accept God’s will

We search every day

As we continue to pray

Things seem so surreal

We know what to reveal

Doubt appears for a time

Before we reach our prime

We search our soul

For what makes it whole

We learn to let go

Of what we used to know

We remain silent for sure

We search for something pure

We hear nothing in the distance

We offer no resistance

We find solid ground

We share the joy we found

Just sitting still

As we continue to learn

Our stripes we earn

God reveals His plan

The moment He can

We see what’s set in stone

He won’t leave us alone

We let go of our fear

We know what’s near

We learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

Faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

We learn to settle down

God turns our lives around

He’s always there

With tender loving care

Our voices we raise

With a song of praise

We don’t pretend

We pray until the end

As we learn to sit still

And accept God’s will
