We live every day

Come what may

Sometimes we fall

But God answers our call

We look for peace of mind

Which is hard to find

Then we fill our soul

With what makes life whole

We pray for strength

As we talk with God at length

Sometimes we can’t see

What’s truly meant to be

We learn lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

We live in fear

Not realizing that God is near

Through heartache and pain

We see what we’ll gain

We suddenly find a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We see our naysayers

But we continue our prayers

Right or wrong

We see where we belong

Life takes us far

As we heal every scar

We learn to live

We learn to give

We learn to love

Just like heaven above

Take one look

Our lives are an open book

Life teaches us to share

We know God is there

Sometimes we cry

Then wonder why

But everything’s set in stone

God won’t leave us alone

For every moment is golden

To God we are beholden

And we are human
