Last night we prayed

Our very souls were saved

We started anew

We changed our point of view

We gained strength

As we talked with God at length

We saw our purpose

Rise to the surface

We felt the love

That comes from heaven above

We embraced the journey

Meant for us only

We learned from the past

While making every moment last

And we held each other close

Cause our bond matters most

Last night

We followed the light

That shines day and night

It provided a blessing

Without a lot of stressing

God made clear

What He holds dear

He offered us affection

Along with plenty of protection

We learned to sit still

As we accept His will

We found something to hold

Our story will be told

Our faith became real

Too difficult to conceal

We began to see

What’s truly meant to be

We learned to let go

Of things we used to know

We found a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We struck a few poses

While smelling several roses

And we took in a beautiful sight
