Never stop praying. God can do anything.

When you pray, God listens. When you listen, God talks. When you believe, God works.

Last night we prayed

Our very souls were saved

We started anew

We changed our point of view

We gained strength

As we talked with God at length

We saw our purpose

Rise to the surface

We felt the love

That comes from heaven above

We embraced the journey

Meant for us only

We learned from the past

While making every moment last

And we held each other close

Cause our bond matters most

Last night

We followed the light

That shines day and night

It provided a blessing

Without a lot of stressing

God made clear

What He holds dear

He offered us affection

Along with plenty of protection

We learned to sit still

As we accept His will

We found something to hold

Our story will be told

Our faith became real

Too difficult to conceal

We began to see

What’s truly meant to be

We learned to let go

Of things we used to know

We found a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We struck a few poses

While smelling several roses

And we took in a beautiful sight

Last night

I’m smelling roses

While striking a few poses

They represent each day

How I made a way

Where I’m supposed to be

The dreams that motivate me

They fill my soul

They make me whole

They’re part of a journey

Meant for me only

They’re sent by God

I offer Him a wink and nod

And they help me stand

As I hold God’s hand

I’m smelling roses

The scent I can’t ignore

They fill me to the core

They give me a pride

I simply cannot hide

They fill me with the purpose

That lies at the surface

They keep me strong

Whether I’m right or wrong

They make me see

What’s truly meant to be

I can see what I’ll gain

Through heartache and pain

They put me in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

They offer a word

That’s the best I’ve heard

Their scent takes me far

Without leaving a scar

The roses represent love

Sent from heaven above

They offer something pure

They make me feel secure

They set things in stone

They prove I’m not alone

So I’ll strike a few poses

While I’m smelling the roses

When things get out of control, remember that we serve a God who is in control.

Trust God even when the answer is wait.

We reflect on each day

As we accept God’s way

We stumble here and there

But we still stay in prayer

We get filled to the core

As life offers us more

Some didn’t think we’d last

But we learned from the past

Our journey is real

Too hard to conceal

We can clearly see

It was meant to be

We’ve planted seeds

That lead to good deeds

Every step we take

Is a memory we’ll make

God made His will clear

And we’re still here

We’ve gotten lost a time or two

We didn’t know what to do

But we finally learned

Our stripes we earned

Our life lessons

Are now heartfelt confessions

We share them all

God answers every call

Cause we’re truly blessed

Instead of stressed

We see our own hearts

Where love starts

The thought fills us with a pride

We simply cannot hide

Even laugh a little while

We remember who we are

Learning how to heal every scar

The journey is for us only

Then share the joy we’ve found

Cause God almighty is near

Then the stripes we’ve earned

We plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

Whenever we hear God speak

Nothing stays the same

The world learns our name

We acknowledge our power

Hour after hour

We embrace the journey

Cause our faith won’t leave us lonely

God is real. Trust Him.

Let there be no doubt about it, God will fulfill His promises.
