I face every day

I face naysayers

As I say my prayers

But I see God everywhere

Some try to shame me

But I know what’s meant to be

I listen to God’s word

It’s the best I’ve heard

I see my purpose

Rising to the surface

I found a place

Filled with mercy and grace

I get stronger

As my days get longer

I grapple with fear

Until I see God standing near

Carry my dreams far

Without getting a scar

They fill my soul

With what makes me whole

I give as good as I get

With very little regret

I stand on solid ground

I share the joy I found

I know what’s real

What my heart can’t conceal

I live without shame

I know my name

My beating heart

Is where things always start

I plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

I know what I found

Nothing’s going to turn me around

Seasons fill every day

In their own special way

Winter, spring, summer fall

God is part of them all

Seasons offer something new

How we change our point of view

Seasons are really a chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

They teach us lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

They fill us to the core

Before they offer us more

They fill us with love

From heaven above

And they are a plan

God reveals when He can

They’re part of every journey

Meant for us only

They are the light

We follow day and night

They are the prayer

That shows God is there
