Looking in the mirror

Everything becomes clear

I learn to sit still

As I accept God’s will

He sends me on my way

As He fills every day

I learn the lessons

That turn into heartfelt confessions

Things are set in stone

I know I’m never alone

I look at heaven above

And all I see is love

I have peace of mind

Which is difficult to find

I get stronger

As my days get longer

I stand on solid ground

I share the joy I found

I know God is the reason

For every season

I have a treasure

Beyond all measure

I listen to the word

That’s the best I’ve heard

I see the right path

Without suffering God’s wrath

I see all the seeds

That lead to good deeds

I see my naysayers

As I say my prayers

I keep going

All while knowing

God is real

Too difficult to conceal

He makes clear

What I should hold dear

I feel His affection

As well as protection

I let go of the past

As I make every moment last

I travel far

As I reach for a star

And I remember my prime

During face time
