We face every day

In our own special way

Every moment is a journey

Meant for us only

We learn lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

We swallow every bitter pill

Knowing it’s God’s will

We stumble here and there

But we see God everywhere

We face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We sit and wait

For what will make us great

Suddenly, we see our purpose

Rise to the surface

Obstacles fill every space

As we run our race

Yet we keep going

All while knowing

God is with us

In Him we trust

We feel His touch

It means so much

He is the guide

Who stays by our side

Sometimes we’re unsure

We feel insecure

Yet God holds our hand

Right where we stand

We gain strength

When we talk with Him at length

We fall and rise again

Yet God teaches us to win

We travel far

While healing every scar

God fills our soul

With what makes us whole

Life gets better

As we embrace it to the letter

We feel all alone

But God sets things in stone

Every step we take

Is a memory we’ll make

And every test for us only

Becomes a testimony
