Embracing every journey

Yesterday

Everything seemed far away

I couldn’t hide my smile

I even laughed a little while

I felt God’s unconditional love

As it came from heaven above

I ran my race

At my own pace

God kept me close

Cause bonding matters most

I found my purpose

Lying at the surface

I ignored my naysayers

As I said my prayers

And I left the pass behind

As I cleared my mind

Yesterday

I knew where I wanted to be

What’s real was easy to see

I continued the journey

Meant for me only

I learned all I could

More than I thought I would

I reached my peak

As I heard God speak

I saw what I’d gain

Through heartache and pain

I tasted something sweet

Where God and I meet

I heard a word

That’s the best I’ve heard

I felt God’s affection

As well as protection

I found a place

Filled with mercy and grace

I did a victory dance

During my second chance

Things were set in stone

I knew I wasn’t alone

I learned to sit still

As I accepted God’s will

I found something pure

I felt safe and secure

I truly found my way

Yesterday

If you are unfaithful in the small things, then God won’t commit you the big things.

When you understand that God is never late, you wait differently.

Thinking of the love

Coming from heaven above

Thinking of a tender touch

That means so much

Thinking of the peace

The heart won’t release

Thinking of God’s power

Hour after hour

Thinking of you

And all the things you do

Thinking of God’s word
