We start each day

Trying to find our way

Not knowing God is near

Filling us with dread

We look for strength

While talking at length

We wonder if we’ll see

What’s truly meant to be

We look into our hearts

To see where love starts

We long to hear an encouraging word

That’s the best we’ve heard

We long to share a journey

Meant for us only

We search for a light

We can follow day and night

We wonder how much we can take

With every step we make

We wonder what’s for us

Then wonder who to trust

We say a silent prayer
