Fall from the trees

They represent a new chapter

Filled with joy and laughter

They show a new season

That comes within reason

They are the new goal

That fills the soul

They show what’s real

Too difficult to conceal

They are the plan

God reveals when He can

They rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

And they offer a clear path

Without unleashing God’s wrath

Autumn leaves

Fall from the trees

They set things in stone

They never leave us alone

They show the new journey

Meant for us only

The lessons we learn

The stripes we earn

How we fall and rise again

How God showed we could win

They show the seeds

That lead to good deeds

All our days

God’s loving ways

All the steps we take

All the memories we make

God’s undeniable word

Which is all we’ve heard

The hand we hold

The story being told

The guiding light

We follow day and night

All the love

Coming from heaven above

How we sit still

As we accept God’s will

What we truly desire

What sets the soul on fire

What the heart conceives
