Running Free

We’re running free

We see what’s meant to be

God has given us peace

Our hearts won’t release

He has led the way

To a brighter day

We’ve learned a great deal

We know what’s real

We share all the dreams

That make us burst at the seams

Our naysayers we ignore

Cause we’re filled to the core

God has given us direction

As well as protection

We rest in a place

Filled with His amazing grace

Every step we take

Is a memory we’ll make

And our purpose

Has risen to the surface

We’re running free

What a sight to see

We feel the love

Coming from heaven above

We stand on solid ground

Faith turned our lives around

We’ve gotten through the storm

Defied every norm

We get stronger

As our days get longer

God planted the seed

To a blessing indeed

We know what we hold

Our story has been told

God is with us

In Him we trust

We reach our peak

Whenever we hear God speak

His words ring true

We see what He can do

Life is much better

Cause we embrace it to the letter

And the world can see

Why we’re running free

Monday Blues

Got the Monday blues

Need something I can use

It’s time to start over

Without a four-leaf clover

Still learning to stand

As I hold God’s hand

He’ll walk with me

Set my soul free

It’s a new day indeed

Faith will give me what I need

I’m still trying to learn

Looking at the stripes I’ll earn

I’ll embrace the journey

Meant for me only

Only time will tell

What I’ll see well

I’ll follow the light

That shines day and night

It’ll hold me close

Cause I matter most

Got the Monday blues

Need something I can use

God will take me far

He’ll heal every scar

I’ve been given a mission

Along with clear vision

Faith will clear my mind

With the best news I can find

I’ll learn as I go

Share what I know

I’ll feel a touch

That means so much

I’ll move without fear

Cause God Almighty is near

I’ll see what’s in stone

Why God won’t leave me alone

I may see something new

Then change my point of view

It may be something real

What my heart can’t conceal

Then I’ll replace the Monday blues

With what I can use
