Praying Woman

She kneels and bows her head

Without an ounce of dread

She utters words silently

As she sits quietly

Having removed her fear

She knows God almighty is near

She has what she calls a conversation

Without much hesitation

While she wonders what’s in stone

She knows she’s not alone

She searches her heart

Cause that’s a great place to start

She feels something pure

It makes her feel secure

Her silence removes every cloud

She doesn’t have to talk very loud

The moment offers her a place

Filled with mercy and grace

She keeps going

All while knowing

Blessings will be granted

And seeds will be planted

She keeps her faith close

Cause faith matters most

The moment fills her with purpose

She sees it at the surface

It’s like a guiding light

She follows day and night

The word fills her to the core

More than anything has before

She finds perfect peace

Her heart won’t release

It fills all her days

In a lot of ways

She learns to stand

While holding God’s hand

She always finds a surprise

When she opens her eyes

She’s oh so human

She’s a praying woman
