Getting stronger every minute

Counting blessings galore

Resting in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Hanging on God’s word

Cause it’s all we’ve heard

Looking straight ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Removing all doubt

That things will work out

Embracing God’s ways

As we look to better days

We’ve shed many tears

Had many fears

Before seeing what’s in stone

Why God never left us alone

We’ve faced naysayers

While saying our prayers

Before finding peace

Our hearts won’t release

We’ve learned to sit still

As we accept God’s will

We’ve traveled a long road

While God carried the heavy load

We’ve learned lessons

That are now confessions

We finally found a home

Where our souls can roam

We’ve grappled with fear

Until we saw God standing near

God soothed every soul

Made us whole

We couldn’t see

What was meant to be

Now we accept God’s ways
