I’ve got the Monday blues

Wondering what I can use

A new week is here

Trying to remove my fear

Praying God fills the day

Longing to accept His way

Preparing for a journey

Meant for me only

Wondering what I’ll find

Praying for peace of mind

Gaining a renewed strength

As I talk with God at length

Knowing He’ll be with me

I see what’s meant to be

Wondering what’s in stone

Believing I’m not alone

Learning what to ignore

As faith fills me to the core

Changing my view

After I see what God can do

Before turning life lessons

Into heartfelt confessions

I’ve got the Monday blues

I see what I can use

I see every moment for sure

I feel safe and secure

I hang on God’s word

Cause it’s all I’ve heard

I find solid ground

I share what I’ve found

I learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

I follow a light

That shines day and night

It keeps me going

All while knowing

God planted a seed

To a blessing indeed

I cherish my treasure

Beyond all measure

It takes me to a place

Filled with mercy and grace

And I see what I’ll use

During my Monday blues
