Last night we prayed

Right where love stayed

We reflected on the journey

Ordained by God only

We saw the blessings granted

We watered the seeds planted

We saw the lessons

That became confessions

Then looked ahead

Without an ounce of dread

We held each other close

Knowing love matters most

While standing on solid ground

Before sharing the joy we found

We shared every dream

Strange though it may seem

God sat with us

In Him we trust

He removed all doubt

That things would work out

And we found our purpose

Lying at the surface

Last night we danced

After our second chance

We saw that faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

We saw what’s in stone

Why God won’t leave us alone

We found a place

Filled with guidance and grace

We listened to a word

That needed to be heard

God soothed every soul

He made us whole

We let go of fear

When we saw Him standing near

We got a new name

We let go of our shame

We begin to rejoice

When we heard God’s voice

Life got better

As we embraced it to the letter

And we followed our guiding light
