This place gives direction

As well as protection

It gives us a way

To live every day

It reveals our purpose

As it lies at the surface

It teaches us to stand

As we hold God’s hand

And it provides a reason

For every season

There is a quiet place

It fills every space

It helps us look ahead

Without an ounce of dread

It picks us up

It fills every cup

It offers something pure

It makes us feel secure

This place is real

Too difficult to conceal

It sets things in stone

Reminds us we’re not alone

It shows us the key

To what’s meant to be

It makes us smile

Even laugh a little while

It keeps us going

All while knowing

God is with us
