We’ve had difficult days

In so many ways

We’ve gotten lost

Not knowing the cost

We’ve been shamed

We’ve been defamed

We’ve been scorned

Had our hearts torn

We’ve looked ahead

While filled with dread

Not knowing where to go

Or how we’d grow

We’ve searched for peace

Our hearts can’t release

We’ve shed many tears

We’ve had many fears

We’ve grappled with doubt

That things would work out

We’ve longed for direction

As well as protection

Yet we continued our journey

One meant for us only

God found us

In Him we trust

We’re still here

We’ve searched our hearts

For where love starts

We’ve longed for a place

Filled with God’s grace

We’ve wondered what’s in stone

Why we feel we’re all alone

We’ve felt tremendous pain

A lot of stress and strain

We’ve thought about what to do

Wondered how we’d make it through

We’ve falling far

Tried to heal every scar

We’ve been turned around

While searching for solid ground

We’ve longed for a word

One that deserves to be heard

We’ve searched for something pure

We’ve wanted to feel safe and secure

Before God finally found us

In Him we trust

We’re still here
