I’m waiting on God

With a wink and nod

He’ll unveil a new day

As He shows me the way

He’ll reveal my purpose

Before it rises to the surface

He’ll show what’s in stone

Why He never leaves me alone

He’ll give me strength

As I talk with Him at length

He’ll fill my soul

He’ll make my life whole

He’ll ordain every journey

Meant for me only

He’ll give me a voice

He’ll let me rejoice

He’ll remove all doubt

That He’ll work things out

He’ll hold me close

Like I matter most

And He’ll turn me around

Put my feet on solid ground

I’m waiting on God

With a wink and nod

I’ll hang on His word

Cause it’s all I’ve heard

He’ll offer me peace

My heart won’t release

He’ll give me guidance and protection

As well as direction

He’ll lift me up

He’ll fill my cup

He’ll give me a home

Where my soul can roam

I’ll sit perfectly still

As I accept His will

He’ll give me a place

To run my race

He’ll lay the path

I won’t suffer His wrath

I’ll offer something pure

Make me feel secure

So, with a wink and nod
