We finally find a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We ignore our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We find new dreams

Strange as it seems

We find a moment of pleasure

We can all treasure

And life gets better

As we embrace it to the letter

When a prayer is answered

We feel God’s affection

We have His protection

We see what’s for us

In God we trust

We feel the love

Coming from heaven above

We get a second chance

So, we do a victory dance

The moment lifts us up

God fills our cup

We stay on our path

Without suffering God’s wrath

God ordains every journey

Meant for us only

We keep going

All while knowing

God sets things in stone

He’ll never leave us alone

And we find peace

Our hearts won’t release

Not knowing God is near

Looking for unconditional love

Without seeing heaven above

Looking for a hand to hold

Longing for a God given purpose

Until it rises to the surface

Searching the soul

Until faith makes it whole

Searching for strength

Until we talk with God at length

Looking all around

Until God puts us on solid ground

Looking straight ahead

Finally letting go of dread

Looking at the heart

Until faith shows where to start

Looking for a voice

Until God shows us how to rejoice

Never reaching our peak

Until we hear God speak

Feeling very unsure

Until faith makes us feel secure

Grappling with doubt

Until God works things out

Too busy stressing

Until God pours out a blessing

Trying to learn lessons

That will become heartfelt confessions

Falling and rising again

Before seeing faith helps us win
