Woke up with the sun in my eyes

Such a wonderful surprise

Said a silent prayer

Knowing God was there

I counted blessings galore

Until I was filled to the core

My soul began to roam

In my brand new home

One thing was clear

The grace of God was near

As I prepared for a journey

Meant for me only

I could feel the love

Coming from heaven above

I could see what God can do

It felt like morning dew

Everything was set in stone

I realized I wasn’t alone

I found my purpose

Lying at the surface

Needless to say

It’s a lovely day

I felt God holding me

I knew it was meant to be

I learned a lot of things

Embraced the joy life brings

I broke into a smile

Even laughed a little while

I shared what I learned

I saw the stripes I earned

I did a victory dance

After my second chance

The moment was real

Too difficult to conceal

God’s encouraging word

Was the best I’d heard

I saw solid ground

What was lost was found

I found new dreams

Strange as it seems

I continued my travel

Knowing my soul wouldn’t unravel
