Last night

We said a silent prayer

Thanking God for being there

We reflected on the day

How God made a way

We saw footprints in the sand

As God held our hand

We focused on another dream

Strange though it may seem

We got filled to the core

Before God offers us more

We had a talk with God

Which didn’t seem odd

We changed our view

When we saw what God can do

Our purpose became clear

As God removed our fear

We focused on what was pure

What made us feel secure

We saw the plan

God reveals when He can

We learned faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

And we prepared for another journey

Meant for us only

Last night

We saw God’s glory

As we told our story

God’s word moved us

We finally learned to trust

We found a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We held each other close

Cause our bond matters most

We saw another blessing

Faith removed the stressing

Life got better

Cause we embraced it to the letter

Love filled every soul

God made life whole

Our life lessons

Became heartfelt confessions

And we looked ahead

Without an ounce of dread
