We’re climbing the ladder
Praying so our faith won’t shatter
Embracing the new day
Cause it’s the only way
Taking one step at a time
While still in our prime
Letting go of the past
Trying to make the moment last
Fulfilling the divine purpose
Lying at the surface
Seeing that God is real
Too difficult to conceal
Waiting on the plan
He’ll reveal when He can
Getting much stronger
As the day gets longer
Learning what to ignore
As God fills us to the core
Casting out fear
Cause God almighty is near
And listening to an encouraging word
That needs to be heard
We’re climbing the latter
Nothing else needs to be said
We’ve let go of our dread
We’ve planted seeds
That lead to good deeds
Changed our point of view
After seeing what God can do
The frown has turned to a smile
We’re going to laugh a while
We’ve learned to hold our faith close
Cause faith matters most
We’re enjoying a moment of pleasure
Beyond all measure
We know God is with us
In Him we trust
Our life lessons
Will become heartfelt confessions
God gives us strength
As we talk with Him at length
And we keep going
All while knowing
He’s always there
With His tender loving care
We don’t have to speak
We’ll reach our peak
