I’ve been down

Had my smile turned into a frown

I’ve gotten lost

Not knowing the cost

I’ve grappled with doubt

Until God worked things out

Until faith helped me grow

That have become heartfelt confessions

I’ve been frail and weak

Until I heard God speak

I’ve traveled far

While healing every scar

I’ve searched for a moment of pleasure

Beyond all measure

Until God revealed what’s in stone

I was a lost soul

Until God made me whole

I’m coming out of the dark

I’ve wondered what’s by design

As God filled me to the core
