I see young men

Walking the path God set

Giving as good as they get

While building new dreams

That make them burst at the seams

They learn as they go

Then share what they know

They get stronger

As their days get longer

They feel the love

Coming from heaven above

Naysayers they ignore

As God fills them to the core

They stand on solid ground

They share the joy they found

They embrace every new journey

Meant for them only

They have God’s affection

As well as protection

They rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

And God reveals their purpose

Before it rises to the surface

I see young men

Looking at what’s by design

They know everything is fine

They recognize what’s theirs

They know God cares

They hold each other close

Cause their bond matters most

They hang on God’s word

Cause it’s all they’ve heard

They learn to protect and provide

Their gratitude they don’t hide

They carry life lessons

That will become heartfelt confessions

They recognize faith is the key

To what’s meant to be

They cherish every day

In their own special way

They embrace every moment of pleasure

Beyond all measure

And I watch them win
