We’ve faced every day

While trying to make a way

Without unleashing His wrath

Until we heard God speak

We’ve searched high and low

For what would help us grow

We’ve gotten turned around

Until God put us on solid ground

We’ve searched for a home

Where our souls can roam

Until God set us free

Then showed us what’s meant to be

We’ve grappled with doubt

Until God worked things out

We’ve fallen and risen again

After faith helped us win

We’ve been down

Had our smiles turned into a frown

Then learned our name

And let go of our shame

We’ve changed our view

After seeing what God can do

We’ve been unsure

We’ve felt insecure

Until God revealed His plan

As only He can

We’ve been scorned

Had our hearts torn

We’ve been shamed

We’ve been defamed

Until God lifted us up

Filled every cup

And revealed the purpose

Lying at the surface

We’ve traveled far

As faith healed every scar

We’ve learned to plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

We’ve searched for a place

To run our race

Until God set things in stone

And reminded us we’re not alone
