We’ve faced many days

In so many ways

We’ve been scorned

Had our hearts torn

We’ve been shamed

We’ve been defamed

We’ve proven Satan wrong

Cause faith keeps us strong

We’ve stumbled here and there

While God offered tender loving care

We’ve seen what’s real

Too difficult to conceal

We’ve grappled with doubt

Until God worked things out

We’ve grappled with fear

Until we saw God standing near

We’ve gotten turned around

Before finding solid ground

We’ve ignored our naysayers

As we said our prayers

We’ve searched for a place

To run our race

Until God set the path

Without unleashing His wrath

We’ve hung on God’s word

Cause that’s all we’ve heard

We’ve changed our view

After seeing what God can do

We’ve wondered who we are

Until we reached a shining star

We’ve looked ahead

While filled with dread

Until God revealed our purpose

Lying at the surface

We’ve felt unsure

Didn’t feel safe and secure

Until God revealed a plan

As only He can

We’ve learned lessons

That have become heartfelt confessions

We’ve planted seeds

That lead to good deeds

We never pretend

We work until the end

We’ve broken every norm

While going through the storm
