To set the pace

A place to feel the love

Coming from heaven above

A place to pray

In my own way

A place filled with peace

A place that will turn me around

Put me on solid ground

A place to build new dreams

That make me burst at the seams

A place to hold me close

Like I matter most

A place called a home

Where my soul can roam

A place that will make me smile

Even laugh a little while

As I hold God’s hand

A place with a view

That will reveal what God can do

And where life gets better

When it’s embraced to the letter

I need a secret place

To run my race

A place to plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

A place that offers affection

As well as protection

A place I can hold

As my story is told

A place where others know my name

And I can let go of my shame

A place that could make me smile

Even laugh a little while

That shines day and night

A secret place
