As I travel the highways of life

I thank God for every day

Wouldn’t have it any other way

I see the footprints I leave behind

My faith eases my mind

I learn as I go

I share what I know

I see my divine purpose

Rise to the surface

God gives me strength

As we talk at length

My life lessons

Become heartfelt confessions

I build all the dreams

That make me burst at the seams

Prayer fills me to the core

Before God offers me more

I stay on course

With very little remorse

I know this journey

Is meant for me only

I hang on God’s word

Cause it’s all I’ve heard

I get stronger

As the day gets longer

And I start over again

Knowing with faith I’ll win

As I travel the highways of life

I see what lies ahead

I embrace it without dread

I plant seeds

That lead to good deeds

I feel God’s power

Hour after hour

I feel the love

That comes from heaven above

I see what I’ll gain

Through heartache and pain

Faith sets me free

It shows what’s meant to be

God heals my soul

He makes me whole

I can see how to live

I can see how to give

I can see how to love

Just like heaven above
