I face a new day

As God makes a way

I look at the road I traveled

Then see how my soul never unraveled

I see how I fell and rose again

Knowing faith helped me win

I see the life lessons

That have become heartfelt confessions

I find a beautiful home

Where my soul can roam

I see what’s real

Things difficult to conceal

I changed my view

After seeing what God can do

I have a place

To run my race

Life has gotten better

As I embrace it to the letter

I reach my peak

Whenever I hear God speak

I know what I hold

My story will be told

I have a second chance

So, I’ll do my victory dance

I hang on God’s word

Cause that’s all I’ve heard

I enjoy moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

I break into a smile

That last quite a while

I get stronger

As my days get longer

I feel the love

That comes from heaven above

I have perfect peace

My heart won’t release

I stay on course

With very little remorse

Cause God has a plan

He’ll reveal when He can

I keep going

All while knowing

My purpose is clear

There’s nothing to fear

I have a second chance
