I’ve seen some difficult days

As I changed my ways

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

I’ve been scorned

Had my heart torn

I’ve gotten lost

Not knowing the cost

I’ve gotten turned around

Until God put me on solid ground

I’ve fallen only to rise again

Knowing with faith I’d win

I’ve traveled far

While healing every scar

I’ve grappled with fear

Until I saw God standing near

I couldn’t stand

Until God took my hand

I lost my voice

Until faith taught me to rejoice

I’ve felt weak

Until I heard God speak

I’ve looked in my heart

Not knowing where to start

Until God gave me direction

Along with affection

I’ve searched for my purpose

Then saw it lying at the surface

I’ve searched high and low

For what would help me grow

Before opening my eyes

To a wonderful surprise

I’ve wondered what’s by design

Then saw everything is fine

I didn’t know I’d make it through

Then God changed my view

I began to roam

Until God gave me a home

I wondered if this journey

Was meant for me only

Until God revealed the word

That needed to be heard

I’m not depressed

I’ve gone from broken to blessed
