I see the young folks

Filled with potential

It isn’t accidental

They were created by God

Let’s offer a wink and nod

They spend their days

Wrapped in God’s ways

They’re filled with energy

It’s certainly meant to be

They raise a unified voice

As they gather and rejoice

They fulfill their purpose

When it rises to the surface

They build the dreams

That make them burst at the seams

They know what to ignore

God fills them to the core

They stand on solid ground

As they share the joy they found

They live in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Things get better

As they embrace life to the letter

They have God’s affection

As well as protection

And they know what’s in stone

They realize they’re not alone

I see the young folks

Each one standing tall

As God answers their call

They continue to grow

As they share what they know

They look straight ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Knowing God set their path

Without unleashing His wrath

They’re embracing their mission

With crystal clear vision

They’ve opened their hearts

That’s where everything starts

God has shown them pleasure

Beyond all measure

They remember who they are

As they reach for a star

I see their light
