We face a new day

While letting God lead the way

We receive what our souls need

Which is a blessing indeed

We say a silent prayer

Thanking God for being there

We embrace our journey

Cause it’s meant for us only

We learn as we go

We share what we know

We feel weak

Until we hear God speak

We grapple with doubt

Until God works things out

We search for divine purpose

Before it rises to the surface

We change our view

After seeing what God can do

We open our eyes and see

What’s meant to be

We build our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We find a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We learn how to live

We learn how to give

We learn how to love

Just like heaven above

We look straight ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Knowing God has a plan

He’ll reveal when He can

We learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

We get turned around

Before God puts us on solid ground

We find our voice

Then suddenly begin to rejoice

Sometimes we fall

But God answers every call

God gives us a new name

He removes our shame

We know what we’re feeling

Cause we’re healing
