As I face today

I see God made a way

I was feeling weak

Until I heard God speak

I wondered what was for me

Until I saw what’s meant to be

I got turned around

But God put me on solid ground

I grappled with doubt

Until God worked things out

I ignored my naysayers

While saying my prayers

Cause God set my path

Without unleashing His wrath

I passed the last test

Just like all the rest

Life has gotten better

Cause I embrace it to the letter

I see the blessings granted

I water the seeds I planted

I know what I hold

My story will be told

I’m on the move

I have nothing to prove

I’m coming out of the dark

I’ve been down

Had my smile turned into a frown

Until God healed my soul

Then made my life whole

I’ve been unsure

I’ve felt insecure

Until my divine purpose

Rose to the surface

I’ve been torn

I’ve been scorned

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

Until I started anew

I feel like morning dew

I’ve learned to dream

Strange though it may seem

I’m filled to the core

God will give me more

I hang on God’s word

Cause that’s all I’ve heard
