It gives me strength

As I talk with God at length

It fills my soul

As I heal every scar

It makes me smile

Even laugh a little while

It reveals the word

I’ve always heard

It shows me what to ignore

As faith fills me to the core

It gives me moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

And it helps me embrace

The place filled with mercy and grace

I hear it from beginning to end

It lifts me up

It fills my cup

It teaches me life lessons
