I took a walk with God

Gave Him a wink and nod

The moment healed my soul

It made my life whole

It gave me strength

As we talked at length

I saw my purpose appear

As God removed my fear

I learned life lessons

That are now heartfelt confessions

I found my voice

I began to rejoice

God turned me around

He put me on solid ground

I found a home

Where my soul can roam

I struck a few poses

As I stopped to smell the roses

I changed my view

After seeing what God can do

I broke into a smile

Then laughed a little while

And life got better

As I embraced it to the letter

I took a walk with God

It was the only way

To face a new day

The journey I took

Became part of a new book

I hung on His word

Cause that’s all I heard

I built new dreams

That made me burst at the seams

I learned to stand

With one touch of God’s hand

I saw what was real

Too difficult to conceal

God removed every cloud

The moment made me proud

I kept walking

As we kept talking

Knowing what’s for me

The moment was meant to be

And I offered another wink and nod

As I took a walk with God
