We embraced God’s way

We counted blessings galore

While God filled our core

We took a long walk

We had a long talk

We discussed the journey

Meant just for us only

We gained strength

As we talked at length

We saw our divine purpose

Lying at the surface

We shared a smile

That traveled about a mile

We found a home

Where our souls can roam

Faith turned us around

Put us on solid ground

We found a silent prayer

Shows God is there

We filled another chapter

With joy and laughter

And life got better

Cause we embraced it to the letter

Yesterday

We built new dreams

Faith made us burst at the seams

We removed all doubt

That God will work things out

We held each other close

Like bonding matters most

We saw what’s in stone

Why God won’t leave us alone

We enjoyed moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

We found a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We survived another storm

We broke another norm

We reached our peak

After hearing God speak

We stayed on course

Without an ounce of remorse

Cause God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath
