I face a new day

While praising God in every way

I break into a smile

Then laugh a little while

I do a victory dance

To celebrate my second chance

I see what’s in stone

Why God won’t leave me alone

I prepare for another journey

Meant just for me only

I gain strength

As I talk with God at length

Nothing scares me

Cause I see what’s meant to be

I count blessings galore

As God fills my core

I stand on the wings of love

While looking at heaven above

I face my naysayers

As I say my prayers

Knowing God set my path

Without unleashing His wrath

I hang on the encouraging word

That deserves to be heard

I rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

I feel brand new

As I see what God can do

I see what I’ll gain

Through heartache and pain

I see what’s by design

Why everything will be fine

I relish blessings granted

I water the seeds I planted

I survive every storm

I break every norm

I stand on solid ground

I share the joy I found

I travel far

As I heal every scar

I relish something pure

I feel safe and secure

God shows me what’s real

Too difficult to conceal

I give as good as I get

With very little regret

Cause I’m happy
