I took a walk with God

It was a lovely day

Cause I accepted His way

We talked about purpose

That rises to the surface

All the heavenly dreams

That make me burst at the seams

The strength I gain

Through heartache and pain

How faith makes me see

What’s meant to be

The moments of pleasure

I cherish beyond measure

The beautiful place

Filled with mercy and grace

When He turned me around

Then put me on solid ground

When He makes me smile

Even laugh a little while

How He lifts me up

Then fills my cup

The answered prayer

That shows He’s there

And how life is better

Cause I embrace it to the letter

It filled me to the core

Before God offered me more

We talked about unconditional love

That comes from heaven above

The victory dance

After my second chance

How I learned to stand

While holding His hand

The encouraging word

That deserves to be heard

Everything that’s pure

What makes me feel secure

What’s always in stone

Why He never leaves me alone

Why I rejoice

Whenever I hear His voice

Why I feel brand new

When I see what He can do

All the blessings granted

All the seeds I planted

Nothing felt odd
