To be loved

Is to embrace our days

Along with God’s loving ways

To see divine purpose

Lying at the surface

To build our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

To gain strength

While talking with God at length

To relish perfect peace

Our hearts won’t release

To face our naysayers

While saying our prayers

To learn to stand

While holding God’s hand

To find a home

Where our souls can roam

To see life lessons learned

All the stripes we’ve earned

To learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

To get filled to the core

Before God offers us more

And do a victory dance

To celebrate our second chance

To be loved

Is to enjoy moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

To change our view

After seeing what God can do

To run our race

In a safe and secure place

To reach our peak

After hearing God speak

To lift one voice

As we begin to rejoice

To share the word

That deserves to be heard

To watch God move

Knowing He has nothing to prove

To remove all doubt

That things will work out

To fall then rise again

Knowing faith will win

To stand on principles

As God performs miracles

To never pretend

Cause love will never end
