I’m waiting on God

Patient as can be

I know what’s meant to be

I feel the love

That comes from heaven above

Every silent prayer

Shows God is there

I get much stronger

As my journey gets longer

I fall then rise again

Cause I know with faith I’ll win

I face my naysayers

As I say my prayers

Knowing God set my path

Without unleashing His wrath

I learn to stand

As I hold God’s hand

I find perfect peace

My heart won’t release

My purpose finally appears

As God removes my fears

I see life lessons learned

All the stripes I’ve earned

I get turned around

Until God puts me on solid ground

I’m waiting on God

I have something pure

I feel safe and secure

I enjoy moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

I learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

I look straight ahead

Without an ounce of dread

Knowing this journey

Is meant for me only

I see a wonderful surprise

Whenever I open my eyes

I run my race

In a safe and secure place

I see nothing but love

As I look at heaven above

I’ll cherish the blessings granted

I’ll water the seeds I’ve planted

Every single chapter

Will be filled with joy and laughter
