I had a talk with God

It made my day

I saw how He made a way

We talked about the purpose

I saw lying at the surface

All the dreams

That make me burst at the seams

Building a home

Where my soul can roam

Every moment of pleasure

I cherish beyond measure

The naysayers I ignore

As He fills my core

The faith I hold

As my story is told

How faith turned me around

Then put me on solid ground

The silent prayer

That shows He’s always there

The beautiful things I see

What’s truly meant to be

All the blessings granted

The seeds I’ve planted

And how life gets better

As I embrace it to the letter

I had a talk with God

It filled another chapter

With joy and laughter

We discussed unconditional love

That comes from heaven above

What’s in stone

Why He won’t leave me alone

The steps I’ll take

All the memories I’ll make

How I let go

Of things I used to know

Life lessons learned

All the stripes I’ve earned

The encouraging word

That deserves to be heard

How faith makes me smile

Even laugh a little while

How I do it again

Knowing with faith I’ll win
