Mountains

We embark on a winding journey

Meant just for us only

We wonder what we’ll find

But God offers us peace of mind

We fall then rise again

Cause faith helps us win

We build as we go

We share what we know

Cause God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

We face our naysayers

As we say our prayers

Faith reveals our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We gain strength

By talking with God at length

We take one step at a time

While still in our prime

We see life lessons learned

All the stripes we’ve earned

We hold our faith close

Cause faith matters most

We learn to stand

While holding God’s hand

We find something real

Something we can’t conceal

God offers something pure

He makes us feel secure

We keep going

All while knowing

God has something for us

In Him we trust

We see our divine purpose

Lying at the surface

As God fills our core

Before He offers us more

We grapple with doubt

Until God works things out

Until God holds us near

We see what’s in stone

God never leaves us alone
