Break Of Dawn

At the break of dawn

We say a prayer

Thanking God for being there

We prepare for a journey

Meant for us only

We look all around

Then share the joy we found

We learn as we go

We share what we know

We find something pure

We feel safe and secure

We hang on God’s word

Cause that’s all we’ve heard

We do a victory dance

To celebrate our second chance

We get much stronger

As our journey gets longer

We share life lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

We build our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We feel like morning dew

After seeing what God can do

And we learn what to ignore

As God fills us to the core

At the break of dawn

We open our eyes

To a wonderful surprise

We take one step at a time

While still in our prime

We find a home

Where our souls can roam

We reach our peak

As we listen to God speak

We learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

We see what’s by design

We know everything will be fine

We ignore our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We keep traveling

Our souls never unraveling

Cause God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

At the break of dawn

Seven days full of love

Moments to look at heaven above

Seven days full of peace

The heart won’t release

Seven days full of purpose

Lying at the surface

Seven days full of traveling

Without the soul unraveling

Seven days of prayer

Then seeing God standing there

Seven days of renewed strength

After talking with God at length

Seven days in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Seven days planting seeds

That lead to good deeds

Seven days on a journey

Meant for the soul only

Seven days listening to a word

That deserves to be heard

Seven days building dreams

Strange as it seems

Seven days holding hands

Right where God stands

Seven days filled to the core

Before God offers more

Seven days following the light

That shines day and night

Seven days full of lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

To see what God can do

Seven days of pleasure

Beyond all measure

Seven days of blessings

Without a lot of stressing
