Destiny

Another journey awaits us

As we pray to the God we trust

Our divine purpose appears

Before God removes our fears

We gain some strength

As we talk at length

God fights every enemy

He reveals what’s meant to be

We see life lessons learned

All the stripes we’ve earned

We marvel at what we find

God gives us peace of mind

We learn to stand

As we hold God’s hand

We stumble here and there

God offers tender loving care

We hang on the word

We’ve always heard

We ignore our naysayers

As we say our prayers

We enjoy moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

We continue to walk

We continue to talk

We build our dreams

Until we burst at the seams

We cherish the blessing granted

We water the seeds we planted

We run our race

In a safe and secure place

God gives us a new name

As He removes our shame

We look at each other and smile

We laugh a little while

We do a victory dance

To celebrate our second chance

A new chapter begins

We know faith wins

God lifts us up

He fills every cup

We feel brand new

Cause we see what God can do

We continue to travel

Our hearts won’t unravel

When we reach our destiny

Heart To Heart

We share all our days

Along with God’s loving ways

We continue to bond

From here and beyond

As we hold each other close

We see that love matters most

Faith made us see

Filled with mercy and grace

We cherish the blessing granted

We water the seeds we planted

As we hold God’s hand

We look in each other’s eyes

Then see a wonderful surprise

God is our guide

Our gratitude we can’t hide

Love carries us far

It healed every scar

We enjoy moments of pleasure

Beyond all measure

We see what’s in stone

God never leaves us alone

We feel safe and secure

We’ve embarked on a journey

Meant just for us only

Our naysayers we ignore

Cause God fills our core

We share a smile

That lasts quite a while

We bond in a home

Where our souls can roam

We give as good as we get

With very little regret

Cause God set our path

Without unleashing His wrath

We feel His power

Hour after hour

We continue to love

As we look at heaven above
