Lessons

What we see every day

How God shows us the way

The journey we take

The memories we make

The miracles we see

What’s truly meant to be

When we fall and rise again

How we learn to win

God’s encouraging word

What we’ve always heard

Our God given purpose

How it rises to the surface

How we gain strength

By talking with God at length

And remembering who we are

As we reach for a star

Lessons

What we know is true

How God carries us through

The love we give

How we learn to live

The moments we share

The dreams we dare

The blessings granted

All the seeds planted

The quiet place

Where we run our race

The affection we feel

What we know is real

What’s meant for us

The God we trust

What we gain

Through heartache and pain

Where we stand

As we hold God’s hand

All our confessions

Become lessons

Before midnight

All our work is done

We see who’s second to none

We feel the love

Coming from heaven above

We say a silent prayer

Thanking God for being there

He fills the soul

With what makes us whole

We learn along the way

We cherish every day

We go through the fire

To obtain what we desire

We strike a few poses

As we stop to smell the roses

And we see our purpose

Rising to the surface

Before midnight

We listen to a word

That’s the best we’ve heard

We look at our hearts

Then see where love starts

We build a home

Where our souls roam

We take one step at a time

While still in our prime

We gain a renewed strength

As we talk at length

We stand tall

Knowing God will answer our call

We change our point of view

Cause we see what God can do

And we follow our guiding light

Before midnight

If God said it, He’ll perform it.

God is real. Trust Him.

Seeing no daylight

As we fight the good fight

Wondering what to do

How we’ll make it through

Searching for a place

Filled with mercy and grace

Longing for peace of mind

Which is hard to find

Wondering who we are

As we reach for a star

Longing for something pure

What will make us feel secure

Trying desperately to stand

As we hold God’s hand

Learning to pray

As we get through the day

Turning ourselves around

Finding solid ground

Making our mark

While coming out of the dark

Taking one moment at a time

Wondering if we’ll reach our prime

Longing for a journey

Meant for us only

Searching for affection

As well as direction

Searching for a word

That’s the best we’ve heard

Taking a stance

Trying to do a victory dance

Searching for peace

Our hearts won’t release

Learning God is able

While we become more stable

Dealing with the blues

Seeing what we can use

Finding our purpose

Rising to the surface

Making our mark

While we’re coming out of the dark

The path is paved with gold

It’s the story being told

God directs the path

Without unleashing His wrath

It represents the journey

Meant for us only

It’s our lessons

It’s our heartfelt confessions

It fills every soul

It makes life whole

It gives us a renewed strength

As we walk and talk at length

It makes us see

What’s truly meant to be

And it takes us far

Without leaving a scar

The path is always near

It’s something we hold dear

It is the purpose

Slowly rising to the surface

It lifts us up

It fills our cup

It shows what’s in stone

It never leaves us alone

It’s part of the plan

God reveals when He can

It offers something pure

It makes us feel safe and secure

It helps us stand

As we hold His hand

It represents God’s affection

As well as protection

It’s our solid ground

It’s the joy we’ve found

It reveals all our dreams

It makes us burst at the seams

It fills every day

In its own special way

Without suffering God’s wrath

We follow the path

Thank God before it happens.

You could be struggling today and get blessed tomorrow. That’s how God works.

Tomorrow

We’ll see another day

God will show us the way

We’ll embark on a journey

Meant for us only

We’ll learn to smile

Even laugh a little while

We’ll move without fear

Cause God almighty will be near

We’ll know what to create

We’ll know what makes us great

We’ll let go of doubt

As God works things out

His word will lead us

In Him we’ll trust

And we’ll relish peace of mind

Which is hard to find

Tomorrow

We’ll search our hearts

See where love starts

We’ll hold each other close

Cause bonding matters most

We’ll be filled to the core

Before God offers us more

We’ll open our eyes

To a wonderful surprise

We’ll finally see

What’s meant to be

We’ll give as good as we get

With very little regret

We’ll count the blessings granted

Water the seeds we’ve planted

We’ll turn ourselves around

Share the joy we’ve found

We’ll go through the fire

To obtain what we desire

We’ll feel God’s affection

We’ll have His protection

We’ll carry life lessons

That become heartfelt confessions

Then remove our sorrow

Tomorrow

Behind closed doors

We whisper a prayer

Thanking God for being there

We reflect on the day

While accepting God’s way

We hold faith near

As we let go of fear

We see what’s in stone

We realize we’re not alone

We search our hearts

For where love starts

Our voices we raise

In a song of praise

We relish peace of mind

Which is hard to find

And we prepare for a journey

Meant for us only

Behind closed doors

We learn to live

We learn to give

We learn to love

As we look at heaven above

We fulfill the purpose

Rising to the surface

We listen to God’s word

Cause it’s the best we’ve heard

We rest in a place

Filled with mercy and grace

We see the light

We should follow day and night

We feel God’s affection

We have His protection

We have a guide

Who stays by our side

We travel far

Without receiving a scar

We learn to let go

Of what we used to know

We share every dream

Strange though it may seem

And we feel something pure

We feel safe and secure

Behind closed doors
